Custom Filtering

Prop Sniper gets is data from Prop Professor and uses our own designed filters to pick the best bets. However if you want to run a custom strategy we offer this.

CUSTOM FILTERING SHOULD ONLY BE USED BY ADVANCED USERS WHO ARE VERY FAMILIAR WITH +EV BETTING

When creating an account, you may now create custom filters - these are effectively added checks on top of the data you'd see on https://app.propprofessor.com/positive_ev to determine whether or not a bet should be placed. By default, somewhat strict additional filters are used. Adding custom filters overwrites these filters. Basic Filters:

  • Min EV and Odds should be self explanatory

  • Selecting no leagues will default to use all leagues

Advanced Filters:

  • At least one advanced filter is required

  • If you do not add an advanced filter for a given market type, bets of that market type will be ignored.

  • Main markets (spread, ml, total)

  • Team markets (team total)

  • Player markets (player props)

Comparison books:

  • Adding a comparison book means that (in that given market type), if the selected book has odds, the criteria you input MUST be met otherwise the bet will not be placed. Checking required means that that book MUST have (2-way) odds, otherwise the bet will not be placed.

  • For example, if you select FanDuel as a comparison book with a min ev of 3 and a max vig of 0.1, a bet will fail if FanDuel has comparison odds and the EV is lower than 3 or vig greater than 0.1. If you select required, then the bet will additionally fail if FanDuel does not have comparison odds. Exchanges and Pinnacle also have a minimum liquidity field.

Required comparisons

  • Inputting required comparisons means that that many of the comparison books for the given bet/market-type must have comparison odds.

  • For example, if you input Caesars and FanDuel as comparison books (with whatever settings), and both of those books have comparison odds, the total # of comparison books is 2. Therefore, if required comparisons is set to 2 or lower, the bet will be placed (assuming other filters met).
